Pet Your Bacon Pork

Did you know if you pet your pigs the bacon tastes better? We love our animals and appreciate the sacrifice they make so we can have nutritious food on the table. That is why we raise our animals in the most natural and caring ways possible. Our pigs get rotated through different parts of our land so they can eat natural foods and lessen their impact on erosion and runoff. While moving through the pastures and woods our pigs run around looking for roots, leaves, fruit, nuts, insects and occasionally small animals like snakes and frogs. They enjoy plenty of room to roam, sunshine, and fresh forage. In addition to the natural foods they find themselves, they receive daily rations of a balanced, all-natural, local, non-GMO grain. And yes, we do pet them on the bacon!

Have you even dreamed of having a freezer full of delicious, nutritious meat?  Well, now you can.  Ordering your whole or half hog is easy and the most affordable way to eat farm-fresh pork. When ordering your own pig, you choose which cuts of meat to order,  you choose which sausage flavors to try, and you choose when and how you want to eat it! The price breakdown is as follows:  


  $200.00              deposit at the time of order
+ $3.50/lb            hanging weight, at the time of butcher (minus the deposit) 
+ $1.00-2.50/lb   to the butcher shop (depending on cuts you choose and the amount of smoking being                                          done) 
= $4.50-6.00/lb  for your total pig!  Compare that to the price of ordering each cut individually and you will                                    see what a great deal ordering in bulk can be!


(prices are based on the local USDA butcher shop that we typically use, in certain situations we are happy to accommodate your preference to use an alternate butcher).
